Horse Program
Each evening our Head Wrangler comes around at dinner to find out "EXACTLY" what type of ride you want for the following day. Your choice is to either take a morning ride, and come back to the ranch for lunch and then go out again in the afternoon for another half day ride.

Or, we'll pack your lunch and you can hit the trail for the day enjoying a picnic along the trail. You pick the speed for each day (i.e., slow, medium, or fast). We then put you with 'like' riders. We KNOW that riding nose-to-tail can be the most boring type of riding there is! That's why we cater each ride to each guest! Whether this is your first time mounting a horse or you've ridden your entire life, we'll exceed your expectations and then some!

Horseback Riding
The ranch has a fine herd of 130 horses to assure your riding enjoyment. Horseback riding at Cherokee Park Ranch is truly a non-stop favorite - you pick and choose what type of riding you would like to do each day.

Whether you were born in the saddle or have never mounted a horse, the ranch will meet your riding needs and exceed your expectations. All rides are catered to each guest's enjoyment... you will see the sights and lope through grassy fields without feeling crowded.

The kid's rides are undeniably popular as the young cowhands venture out to ride as a group, building forts and playing games with their counselors after lunch. Personal instruction is giving out on the trail by our experienced wrangling staff.

Kids Horse Program

- Pony rides for 3-5 year olds
- Trail rides for 6-12 year olds
- On-trail riding instruction from walking to cantering
- Half-day and lunch rides

If you like, you may even join in on the kid's ride! Your child is not required to participate in any activity we simply provide a full day's worth of counseled activities should parents desire "'time off!"' For young ones under three we offer a unique opportunity: bring your own full-time baby-sitter free of charge.
